Yatana in Dusseldorf

We ate at Yatana for the first time yesterday. The pre-ordered food was ready to be picked up at the agreed time and was still nice and hot. The food was delicious, really great. We're rarely in Düsseldorf, but we're sure to take something back with us. We're even more looking forward to coming here in regular operation, Eritrean / Ethiopian food just looks better on a large plate. Unreserved recommendation on our part.

We have eaten Eritrean-Ethiopian several times, but today for the first time at Yatana (takeaway) and it was extreeeeem good !! 100% recommendation

The ambience in the Yatana is cozy and informal, the prices reasonable and the food really delicious! In addition, the service was very friendly and attentive! We were there for the first time and ordered the mixed platter for two and an African beer / wheat, which is served in a bowl and tastes really great. The starter beforehand (Sambusa with minced meat) was also a pleasure! We will definitely be back and will continue to try our way through the menu and also try the coffee there. We definitely recommend the Yatana!

Very tasty and fresh food. The boss is very friendly and warm. We love to eat at Yatana and we just feel very comfortable every time. Starting tomorrow, orders via Lieferando and collections will be possible (which we will definitely fall back on). Hopefully we can eat in the restaurant again very soon.

The food is delicious and service is 10/10. We had the best time.

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf on Worringer Strasse. Very friendly, attentive and competent staff await you here. The restaurant is bright and inviting. It's nicely decorated and furnished. The selection of food and drinks is great. The Kilwa Dorho is excellent and tastes very good. Great coffee. I personally can only recommend the Yatana.

Following a recommendation, we were all at the Yatana for the first time for our team event. The food was delicious, quick to prepare and looked really beautifully presented. The service was very good and we just felt very comfortable! We would come back anytime. Thank you very much dear Yatana :)

My 2 friends and I recently went to eat at Yatana. We happened to be there when the restaurant opened and although we hadn't made a reservation we were kindly given a table for an hour and a half. The ambience itself was great, it wasn't that frantically modern, but very nicely traditional and not too dark. The service was also great! We were probably seen straight away that we were there for the first time and we were then immediately recommended what to order. And now to the food: heavenly! It was really delicious and just something different. The three of us didn't get the big platter that was actually intended for 2 people (according to the menu) ready. I can only recommend it!

The food was an experience and the staff genuinely friendly. We felt really good and are thrilled how delicious it was. Unfortunately, there was no more space for dessert, so we'll get that back next time ?

Seldom been eaten and served so well. A great culinary journey and worth at least one visit. We will be back!

We had been eating a couple times, again this week. Very friendly and cooperative people. And a unique food well cooked. The "Gemischte Platte" is a good combination of the cuisine.

Parking right next door for € 2 an hour, ok for village standards. Good service, ambience ok too. Can recommend the African beer that is served in a bowl. The food was very tasty, traditionally several injera (a kind of pancake) were served as a side dish, with which the individual dishes were put in the mouth. The highlight was the pickled lamb on the plate!

A beautiful restaurant with a great ambience. The service is impeccable and nice. The food is delicious and there is a wide variety. There are also a few dishes for vegetarians, all of which are very tasty. The price performance ratio is very good.

A very special little restaurant in Düsseldorf, with fantastic food and a warm owner. Both the vegetarian and the meat dishes are convincing. An experience in terms of taste and appearance. Our absolute favorite place.

Visited this hidden gem yesterday with a few friends. Enjoyed the food & the service. The best thing is that they have the option to opt for a mixed meal which allows you to try many different things.The black spiced tea is also quite nice. This was my second visit and I would definitely go again. Highly recommended !!!

I have been to this place twice with a big group of friends. The hosts is a very nice and cheerful lady, she is very friendly. She always helps us choose the best option given the various veg and non-veg preferences and is very warm.The food (vegan and non-veg) is delicious and the service is amazing.

Really tasty and great food. Here you don't just eat, but celebrate your feast. The service is more than friendly and courteous. Traditionally, you can drink your beer from a bowl. The price-performance ratio is really great here.

A culinary journey to the east of the African continent. You eat with your hand. Delicious dishes, freshly roasted coffee, interesting drinks menu. First-time visitors who can not decide what they want to eat a mixed plate with different specialties is recommended (there are vegetarian and non-vegetarian). Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service - I would love to come back.

As a first timer into an Ethiopian restaurant, Yatana impressed me by its tasty food, nice ambience and good service (which I haven't seen in Germany). Coffee, okra dish and ju ju mango are specials

Very comfortable place. Had visited yesterday with a few friends. Enjoyed the food & the service! First time trying out Ethopian food. Loved it. Very similar to Indian cuisine. Highly recommend this place for small groups :)

Great food, great service. Had to wait quite a long time for the food to arrive, but is was worth the waiting. Nice South African wine list! Note: they don’t accept credit cards, only German debit cards or cash

Great restaurant friendly staff good food and very special surprise you. A disadvantage as a foreigner, make sure you have cash with Mastercard, you cannot pay. But they have promised to work on it

Excellent Food...quite plenty

Easily one of the best dining experience. Excellent food and such warm service by the owner. Definitely going back! Highly recommended. Reservation is recommended and carry cash.

You can't pay with credit card. Must be German debit one. And is quite smelly. But food was good.

Tasty & nicely seasoned food. Service is very nice & friendly staff. I am giving 2 stars because of the amount of oil all the sauces had. It was unbelievable for us to see it on the bottom of the Ingera it was served on. Please think of your customer’s health.

The food is good and plentiful. You will receive a warm and friendly welcome. Unfortunately, if the restaurant is busy, you have to be prepared for long waiting times.

"Typical" Ethiopian restaurant and especially suitable for larger groups to to share the large platter between 2+ persons. Too few staff during peak hours for my taste, which was, however, made up for with the friendly and welcoming attitude.
